The FRCGC is a non-profit agency that has served the Gordon County community since 1986. It began when a group of concerned citizens joined together to address child abuse issues in our community.
The agency started out as the Gordon County Child Abuse Council and over the years has had several names. We are a charter council of Prevent Child Abuse Georgia. In 2001, the agency adopted a new name “Prevent Child Abuse Gordon County” and became known in the community as the Family Resource Center of Gordon County. Over the years, programs for families and children have grown with the community.
We now run programs that focus on helping parents give their children the best start in life. We also provide supervised visitation to those in the foster care and family law system. We offer a community closet and resource and referrals to other agencies within the community.
